Changing a Windows based File Store to a FTP based File Store in GLOBODOX
Requirements:
Steps:
In the folder configured for FTP (e.g., MainDB FTP), create a subfolder for your File Store (e.g., GDX FTP File Store 1)
Copy the contents of the File Store you want to convert to FTP into the folder created for the FTP File Store. The typical location of the File Store is:
C:/Gobodox databases/MainDB/Default File Store
Log in to GLOBODOX as SuperAdmin and navigate to the Settings pane.
In the DB Settings, select Files Stores.
Double-click the file store you want to convert to FTP.
In the File Store Settings pane, select FTP Location from the File Store Type dropdown. The FTP settings window will be launched.
In the Hostname or IP address box enter the name of the server machine or the machine IP address.
In the folder path enter “ /MainDB/GDX FTP File Store 1 “
Enter the username and password of the ftp user you created in the User Name and Password box.
Click the Test Connection button to check if the connection is working. You should get a message Connection successful if everything is working fine.
Click OK to save the connection settings.
The File Store type has been successfully changed from Windows-based to FTP-based.
